Dr. Elias Sabri

Postdoctoral Researcher @ MPI for Colloids and Interfaces, Department Sustainable and Bio-inspired Materials

Dr. Elias Sabri obtained his PhD at Brest University (France), where his thesis on numerical simulation of membrane–electric field interactions was recognized with a thesis excellence award, before joining the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces as a postdoctoral researcher in 2024. His background spans computational physics and experimental biophysics, combining quantitative optical microscopy and spectral analysis with finite element numerical modelling of biological systems, with particular expertise in resolving the electrodynamics and transport phenomena that emerge at membrane interfaces. His current research focuses on developing fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy approaches for characterizing the dielectric properties, chemical structure and composition of biomolecular and hydrogel systems.
