Postdoctoral Researcher @ MPI for Solid State Research

Dr. Borja Ortín Rubio completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of València in 2017 and his M.Sc. in Supramoleculat Chemistry at the University of Salamanca in 2018. Then, he completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Daniel Maspoch and Dr. Inhar Imaz at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2, Spain) in 2024. The same year, he joined the group of Prof. Dr. Bettina V. Lotsch at the Max-Planck-Institut für Festkörperforschung (Stuttgart, Germany), and since 2025, he works in the same group as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow. His interest lies in predicting and synthesizing complex reticular materials by de-reticulation approaches, and their use in tandem photocatalysis for energy conversion.
