Junjun Chen studied environmental engineering at Soochow University, and then joined the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for her PhD. During her doctoral studies, she was a guest-PhD student at the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, where she developed a click heterogenization strategy for the rapid and traceless heterogenization of molecular catalysts.
