Lise-Meitner Group Leader @ MPI für Kohlenforschung

Constanze Neumann studied chemistry at the University of Oxford (UK), and completed her PhD at Harvard University in the group of Tobias Ritter, working on concerted nucleophilic aromatic substitution. During her postdoctoral stay at MIT in the group of Mircea Dincă she worked on MOF-derived catalysts for the upgrading of sustainably-derived short-chain alcohols. In the fall of 2020, she joined the MPI Kofo as a Lise-Meitner Group Leader. Her group aims to create ordered extended materials in which varying degrees of active site mobility can be leveraged for catalytic applications. A key focus of the group lies in the generation of ordered metal arrangements within metal-organic frameworks. She is a Thieme Journals Awardee, and was named a “ACS Organic and Inorganic Au Rising Star” in 2023.
