Dr. Aamir Abbas

Postdoctoral Researcher @ MPI für Kohlenforschung

Aamir Abbas earned his Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and his Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran. He has worked as a process engineer in an oil refinery and also served as a lecturer at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. In 2021, he was awarded a DAAD fellowship to pursue his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Constanze Neumann at the Max Planck Institute für Kohlenforschung. His PhD research focused on the design of safe, MOF-based catalysts for hydrogenation reactions.
