Dr. Tugce Beyazay

Postdoctoral Researcher @ Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, Department of Microstructure Physics and Alloy Design

Tugce Beyazay is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Microstructure Physics and Alloy Design at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials. Her postdoctoral research focuses on sustainable metallurgy, with a particular interest in plasma-assisted reduction of metal oxides. She earned her PhD in Chemistry from the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung, where her work centered on heterogeneous catalysis, studying transition metal nanoparticles for CO2 conversion under hydrothermal conditions. Tugce holds a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from Koç University, Istanbul. Her research interests include materials characterization, nanoparticle synthesis, heterogeneous catalysis, and plasma-based processing for sustainable applications.
