Research Group Leader (W2; Associate Professor) @ MPI for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems
Dr Matthias Stein is the research group leader of the Molecular Simulation and Design group at the Max Planck Institute in Magdeburg. After a MSc degree from the University of Manchester, he obtained a PhD in biophysical chemistry from TU Berlin, followed by a postdoc at KTH Stockholm. Afterwards, he was working in industry as a project manager in computational chemistry and joined HITS as a research associate. At the MPI Magdeburg, his group is dedicated to multi-scale simulations in the fields of sustainable chemistry and catalysis and also the regulation and control of biological processes and signaling pathways.
