Postdoctoral Researcher @ Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Department of Interface Science

Philipp Grosse is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Interface Science at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society in Berlin. He earned his BSc and MSc in Chemistry from Ruhr University Bochum, followed by a PhD in Chemistry awarded jointly by Ruhr University Bochum and the Fritz Haber Institute. His doctoral work elucidated correlations between electrochemical catalyst structure and performance using operando scanning probe microscopy (SPM) and electron microscopy under liquid‑phase conditions. In his current postdoctoral research, he investigates plasma‑catalytic systems, focusing on glow discharges in liquids and dielectric barrier discharges in the gas phase. His research interests encompass plasma diagnostics, the fundamentals of plasma catalysis, and the modeling of electron kinetics and chemical reaction networks.
